Chiu Yuwen is a freelance artist who has been continuously creating and presenting her Water-Fairies paper-cut totem series and large-scale spatial installations since 2006. Her work interprets the most primordial life totems, conjuring spirits from the lines of animals and plants.
邱雨玟，自由藝術家。自 2006 年起，持續創作並發表「水姑娘」剪紙圖騰系列與大型空間裝置藝術作品。「水姑娘」系列是邱雨玟以動植物線條為靈感，幻化而成的精靈形象，亦是她對最原始生命圖騰的詮釋。
These Water-Fairies embody the spiritual interconnection of all living things, flowing through heaven and earth and carrying the force of love and peace. Her work has been exhibited internationally in Taiwan, Vancouver, New York, Milan, Berlin, Venice, Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
這些精靈象徵萬物靈性的相互聯結，如水流貫穿天地，傳遞著愛與和平的力量。這一系列作品曾受邀在臺灣、溫哥華、紐約、米蘭、柏林、威尼斯、北京、上海、深圳等世界各地展出。

She is frequently sought after for cross-disciplinary collaborations spanning dance, music, theatre, fashion design, arts education, and environmental advocacy — opening new possibilities for the art of paper-cutting.
邱雨玟與她的「水姑娘」受邀跨界舞蹈、音樂、戲劇、服裝設計、教育推廣及環境保護等多元領域，不斷為剪紙藝術開拓嶄新的可能，迸發出耀眼的創作火花。
"Water flows, nourishes, takes no fixed form, and benefits all things without contention — this is also one face of femininity. Water-Fairies is a common term in Hokkien, meaning a beautiful woman. It draws on the qualities of beauty and softness, carrying within it an infinite power to multiply, permeate, and connect — just as countless water molecules gather to form water."
「水流動、滋養、無固定形體、善利萬物而不爭，這也是女性的某個面向。『水姑娘』是河洛話中一個常用的詞，意思是美好的女性，取其美好柔軟具有無限繁衍、滲透和連結的力量，就像無數個水分子聚合才形成水。」
Paper-cutting is more than an artistic expression; it is a dialogue with the soul. It is a process of creating life through destruction. Each piece is composed of lines that rise and fall like musical notes — interweaving, extending, and compressing. When light penetrates these forms, it reveals an endless variety of appearances, creating a dimension of time where paper and moment become intertwined.
剪紙，除了是我的創作形式之一，也是自己的心靈對話。一條線帶我走向一個新的旅程。剪紙是一種透過破壞來創造新生的過程，藉由如音符般高低起伏的線條，組合、交織與延展，跳脫平面框架，在空間中與觀者更進一步地互動接觸。
